I am planning to start classes again on the 21st June, there will be 3 x 5 week blocks of classes. They will be in my small studio but the doors will be fully open and we will aim to be outside in the garden as much as possible. I will be working out times and dates and will post these here soon. The following group of classes will begin on the 6th September, Covid restrictions willing.

I offer weekly hand building classes during term-time. These are normally 5 week courses of 2.5 hours each and introduce you to a range of techniques including pinch pots, coil building, soft and hard slabs and kurinuki. Surface decoration includes texture and slip and students may glaze their pots with a clear glaze after the first firing.

Shown here is an example of a slab built vessel built by one of my students.

The cost is £150 plus firing fees for each piece you wish to keep are charged at £6 per kilo.

I offer throwing classes on the potters wheel. These are one-to-one classes situated in my studio at the bottom of my garden, and tailored to your individual  needs.

I can start you on your throwing journey with beginners classes or if you are struggling with your technique I can help you to perfect this by giving you basic steps to throwing a good cylinder – the basis of most pots on the wheel.

Each session is 2 hours long and costs £85.
